The Concept
In a world where digital technology is fast outpacing older methods, and even Getty Images will only accept digital submissions it's important to keep abrest of the technology.
As part of a new initiative to expand our area of expertise/operation into the digital world, the Photographic Society completed the Penthouse Image Editing Suite in early 2006. This facility exists to provide our members with the latest in cutting-edge digital editing technology, along with high resolution scanners to help you to convert your portfolio to the emerging medium.
What does this actually mean?
It means that Photosoc have a room containing a fast computer, large monitor and scanners, so you can scan and edit your photos in comfort. With USB ports, a CD/DVD burner and fast internet access on hand it's a snap to get those edited images back to your place, where you can do... whatever it is you want to do with them.
