1. Talk - Colin Moody - Gromit Room (4th floor SU) - Tuesday 6th March
This is the first talk and presentation of a series of portraits created out of many individual portraits montaged together to find the 'one' overall face.

Colin has been travelling round the city over the last 2 years taking these portraits. Each person is a layer in the final image and each layer is equal. He will by 2019 have photographed 1% of the Bristol population and found the 'one' face. Project as featured on Bristol247 site and in print in Bristol Life magazine.

Find out about how this all started and where it is going.

See his work on https://colinmoodyphotography.wordpress.com/

As usual - Tuesday 6th March, 6:30pm, Gromit Room, SU

2. Adobe Lightroom Classic workshop - 1.58 Queens Building - Sunday 4th March - 13:00-16:00
This workshop by Jamie Corbin will cover the fundamentals of workflow using Adobe Lightroom Classic - everything from the moment after you've taken your photo to producing a finished, edited image.

We'll discuss:
- Colour Calibration
- Storage and Backup
- Importing and Cataloguing
- RAW vs JPEG
- Basic Editing
- Photoshop Integration
- Exporting for Web/Print

The 3hr workshop will be split into two halves, with a 30min break in the middle. The first half will be primarily a talk going over the points above - the second half will be a more practical, hands on section where we'll go through some of these things with actual photos so you can see it all in use.

You're very welcome to bring your own laptops so you can follow along during the talk. I'll provide some photos for the second half so we all have the same ones to work on. You'll need to have Adobe Lightroom Classic (NOT the other new simpler version) already installed - if you don't already have it you can download a free 30 day demo from here: https://creative.adobe.com/products/download/lightroom-classic

You won't need Adobe Photoshop this week - but I will be doing another talk the following Sunday on it. PLEASE NOTE - the free trial for Photoshop is only 7 days, not 30, so if you don't have it already you may want to wait until next week so you have it working for that talk.

I'll also bring my screen calibrator so if any of you want your laptops calibrated we can do that during the break/after the talk. I'll bring the software on a USB - but if you want to speed up the process you can download it from here: http://support.datacolor.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/List/Index/153/spyder5-downloads - get the version for the Spyder
5 Elite.
